ABOUT KARA:

Kara Dulin is a self-taught fiber artist located in the Merrimack Valley area. Kara meticulously designs, plans, sources and handcrafts each of her pieces using high quality fibers and other unique materials.  Her extensive international travel as well as her time spent living in both New York City and Paris, contribute to her love and appreciation for one-of-a-kind curated goods, each handcrafted with exceptional quality and attention to detail. Many of her designs are inspired by her Mediterranean and Middle Eastern travels as well as her early studies in Fashion Design and Merchandising at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan.

Most of the materials that Kara uses in her designs are produced by fiber artists across the United States, including several farms and other small, independent artists who share similar values of supporting small business ventures, encouraging eco-friendly craftsmanship and spreading good vibes through art and creative expression.

Established in 2015, Kara’s work has garnished ongoing attention from the creative world. Being featured in Green Wedding Shoes, 100 Layer Cakelet, Fawn Over Baby, Sandy a la Mode, The Livery, HelloLoveHandmade, CYL Collective, Craftsposure, The Weaving Kind, Makers Village, FaveHandmade and also published in Canada by Maker’s Movement magazine and in Ireland by Ireland’s Wedding Journal magazine, Kara has experienced tremendous support for her artistry. She also has partnered with several national and global brands such as West Elm, Michael’s, Madewell and CPCM Japan as well as local, well established institutions like the Essex Art Center in Lawrence, MA.

Kara currently lives north of Boston with her husband, Scott, their seven year old daughter, Ella, and their eight year old Bernese Mountain Dog, Beckett.
